History and Origin
Ho Wood is part of the Cinnamomum family, just like ravintsara. Its complete botanical name is Cinnamomum camphora CT linalool, very close to ravintsara.
Ho Wood essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the bark, and also called Ho Leaf or Shiu Rosewood.
Ho Wood essential oil is considered as a twin of rosewood, known to be very efficient and very well tolerated by the skin.

Cosmetics: It is used to treat dry skin, prevent wrinkles and heal stretch marks.

Perfumery: Note and Synergy: Heart Note. It blends well with lavender, citruses, vetiver, cinnamon and patchouli.
Safety data: None known under physiological dosages. Contains a strong proportion of linalool, which can be allergenic for certain persons. Ho Wood should be avoided internally during the first three months of pregnancy. In babies under six months, the oil should be diluted with 80% of vegetable oil, for example olive or sweet almond oil, to treat diaper rash or use on mucosa.
