History and Origin
Scotch pine is indigenous in Eurasia and cultivated in Eastern United-States, Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, Finland, and Canada. It is now considered naturalized in parts of New England and the Lake States. In Quebec, its future is uncertain. Because of its lack of adaptation, it can hardly multiply naturally. Pine seeds are known to be an excellent fortifier for consumptive and recovering people.

L’huile essentielle de pin sylvestre est « hormone-like », antidiabétique (axe hypophysopancréatique),
« cortisone-like »++++ (axe hypophyso-cortico-surrénalien) et stimulante sexuelle (axe hypophyso-gonadique). Cette huile est aussi tonique stimulante, neurotonique et hypertensive+++ en plus d’être décongestionnante lymphatique et utéro-ovarienne. Le pin sylvestre possède aussi des propriétés anti-infectieuse, antifongique, antiseptique et antiallergique. |
| Usage par les professionnels de la santé |
On utilise le pin sylvestre pour combattre l’asthénie+++, l’insuffisance testiculaire, le diabète, la sclérose en plaque, la congestion utérine, la bronchite+++, la sinusite+++, l’asthme++, l’arthrite et la polyarthrite rhumatoïde. Et comme il renforce le système immunitaire de l'organisme, on le recommande préventivement en cure au début de l'automne. |
