Feverfew is a perennial plant growing wild in Europe and Asia. The generic name means « golden flower ». It
belongs to a genus that includes approximately 140 species. It likes all kinds of soils but doesn’t stand seaside environment. On the medicinal level, it is increasingly famous owing to the many studies that have been led since 1970. Those researches reveal that feverfew is particularly useful to treat some types of migraine headache, rheumatisms and arthritis. The oil can also be used to treat external bruises.
The Amerindians use it to bathe swollen feet (Cherokee) as well as to treat rheumatisms
(Mahuna).
